When I was getting my epidural the doctor said "you like smile?" It took me a minute to understand the question and then I realized he was looking at my tattoo. So without asking the doc confirmed that my chinese tattoo indeed says what it is supposed to. Then throughout the epidural procedure he talked to me about writing different words in chinese and how he likes the word smile because it looks like a smile. (the top symbol is smile and my tattoo). Then he asked if I have ever seen the symbol for cry. So he made sure to write that too. (The below one.) When he left the room the nurse told me that I made the doc's entire day.
