Saturday was Zoe's first friend birthday party. She really wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese for the party but since we didn't like that idea we came up with something better. Wayne and I built a 4 hole goofy golf course. And we used the church's great room for the event.
There were 7 friends there plus Henry, Cooper (9 mos), and Darby (2 mos). And there were a lot of adults there too.
We also did a lot of coloring. I found these big roles of 20 drawings so they all sat together to color.
To add some more fun I decided to let them decorate their own cupcakes. First we had one table to frost the cupcakes and another to put sprinkles on them. It really worked well.
Then the birthday candle and singing. Like Zoe's shirt? She received a "super shirt" in a bunch of hand-me-down clothes and in the first week she had it she wore it three times. So we found this one for her and gave it to her the morning of the party.
Instead of gifts for Zoe we asked that every kid bring a book to trade with the others. After everyone picked a book they ran off to read them. I think it was one of the best parts.
Henry had a lot of fun too.

Love all the shots, but the last one of Henry is a favorite. The grandma wants a copy. Looks like a good time was had by all!
