No TV Wednesdays

In our house we watch a lot of TV. So we started NO TV WEDNESDAYS. On these days we eat a leisurely dinner together then do activities together. We spend the evening finding ways to entertain ourselves as a family without being in front of the TV. We have dance parties, play games, and more. The best thing we found was through Zoe's scholastic book order at school. The book is call the

The first week we made exploding volcanoes. (no pictures.)

Last week we made flying things. Zoe, Papa, and I each made one. Then we all threw them.

This week we made fingerprint drawings.

Henry did one fingerprint then played with race cars. He is really into race cars now. Every time he gets a hold of one he says "WHOA"

Wayne made a Basketball Team/Game.

Zoe made her family, including Grandparents. I made our family too but I used everyone else's fingerprints.

Later last night Henry had some craft time too. He colored for the first time. He tried to eat the crayons too.

Glad that Zoe kind of recognizes that grandparents are part of her family. I think I really like your "No TV Wednesdays". Wonder if they will stay intact when the kids are teenagers. Are you going to build a Nativity this year? Loved it when you and Jon would come up with clever ideas about what to use.
