This past weekend my father retired from the Navy. He served our country for 30 years.
The ceremony was amazing. It was patriotic and full of tradition.
Dad's speech made me cry. Mom too.
Lots of family and friends came to share in this joyous occasion. Dad's baby brother who is also in the Navy was even part of the ceremony.

Okay, I deleted my first thoughts but they were not negative in any way. This guy is my best friend and husband. He may never be called the "Ice Cream Man" again, but I will be thinking of a new name to go with his new woodworking career. =0)
