Vacation - Day 2

Day two of our mini vacation was just as busy as the first. We started the day with swimming at the hotel pool. Henry wasn't a fan so he just went with Papa to the store while Zoe and I swam.

Then we had lunch at the mall. Aren't these kids picnic tables awesome?

Then we went to the Blank Park Zoo. The first thing we saw was something new to me. Have you ever seen a red panda? They didn't cooperate for pictures. But it is super cute.

We all decided that giraffes were our favorite animal. Although the red panda is a close second.

The Zoo had a animatronic dinosaur exhibit.

Henry liked it but only from the safety of his wagon.

We had an excellent dinner at Spaghetti Works. The kids loved it. I had Chicken Parmesan and was in heaven.

After dinner we decided to go for a nice walk downtown Des Moines. There is a park full of lots of sculptures. On our way there we ran into this water fountain. There were other kids there playing in it so Henry and Zoe joined in.

While we wandered downtown we found the oscar mayer wiener mobile.

The sculpture garden was fun. The best part was we found a VERY large hill. So of course me and the kids rolled down it. I was very dizzy by the end. We got a video but it was too dark and it didn't turn out. Henry mainly ran down the hill and I really thought he was going to face plant multiple times.

This sculpture is called "back of a snowman"
