Zoe has graduated from her original chore calendar (see here) so today I worked on creating new calendars. One for her and one for Henry. Best part.. my own idea I didn't steal it from Pinterest.
I took an old cookie sheet and added a piece of fabric using spray adhesive. Then I divided up the area with ribbon. The top sections are for assigned chores for the day and completed. The bottom area is for the current days activities. There is a laminated note card that can you can use a dry erase marker to write notes.
The chores and days of the week are laminated color pictures attached to circle magnets. The images are for things like make your bed, put clothes away, set the table, bath night, and more. There are also activity magnets to identify things we have occurring on different days like no tv night, church, school, and music school. There are even magnets identifying either trips to the grandparents or them coming to our house.
Their doors also needed a little more decoration. So I found some inexpensive chip board letters and I added scrap book paper to jazz them up and finished them with nod podge.
Finally a little suggestion for an easy dessert. I had some apples that were at the end of their life span. So I cut them up cooked them with some cinnamon and brown sugar. I then rolled them up in egg roll wrappers and baked them for 20 mins - turning them halfway through. Mmmmmm.

Clever ideas. Maybe your mother should have worked at organizing you when you were a kid, too. That way we could have made a magnet for messy vs clean closet. hehe
Love the nail polish
