The time went too quickly

Tonight was once again Brinner.  One of our favorite meals.  A meal that I know everyone will eat well.  I even used a baster and made smiley faces with the pancakes.

While I made dinner Wayne and the kids did the prep work for our big activity.  We made smashing balls (click here).  They had to bake for 45 minutes so we put them in the oven before dinner.

Dinner!  I couldn't help but post this great picture of Henry while eating.

Then baseball cards.  We have been working on them regularly but I have not updated the baseball card blog.  Zoe decided that she needed to documented what we did each week.

Then we played a scavenger hunt game that I found on pinterest (click here)  The game is made up of cards with 3 images.  You each have to draw a card and find the images.  The first one back wins.  I printed the cards and laminated them so it should be a quick game whenever we need a boredom buster.

We still had some time to kill so the kids took baths and Zoe read me a book.

Then smashing time.  I baked the smashing balls at the wrong temp so they were not fully "cooked"  but they had fun with the aiming.  We put the rest in the oven and will smash them again tomorrow night after kindermusik

Isn't it amazing how many ways you have used the "cousin quilts"? Henry, Great-Grandpa likes pancakes, too. Maybe I should add some smiley faces so your Grandpa would eat brinner.
